This policy covers foxnett.com, the client area at myaccount.foxnett.com, and the products we sell. It is written for the Privacy Act, 2075 (2018) of Nepal and related rules. Using the site or opening an account means you have read it.
1. Who controls the data
The controller is Foxnett Digital Solutions Private Limited, Foxnett Office, Lalitpur, VAT 622502191. Write to contact@foxnett.com. Call +977 9764827827. WhatsApp +977 9740838542.
For some products we are a processor or a reseller. Google, Zoho, Adobe, Zoom, Nord, domain registries, and similar vendors have their own privacy terms for data you put in their systems. Read those too.
2. Data we collect
- Account and KYC: name, company, address, phone, email, identity or company papers where a product (including bulk SMS) requires them.
- Billing: invoices, VAT details, partial payment tokens, bank or wallet references. We do not store full card numbers on Foxnett servers.
- Service data: products you buy, domains, hostnames, IP assignments, ticket text, chat logs, call notes, quotes, and usage such as disk, traffic, and SMS volume.
- Technical data: IP address, browser, device, cookies, pages viewed, and diagnostic logs. This includes logs needed to run DNS, mail, hosting, and abuse response.
- Content on the servers: websites, mail, databases, and files you store. We access this only to operate the platform, to fix a ticket you open, to keep the network safe, or if the law requires it.
3. Why we use it
We use personal data to:
- Set up, bill, renew, and support the services you order.
- Issue VAT invoices and keep records the Inland Revenue Department requires.
- Prevent fraud, chargebacks, spam, and attacks on our network or other customers.
- Meet ICANN, registry, NTA, court, and police requirements.
- Improve the site and products, including seeing which pages fail or convert.
- Send service mail (invoices, expiry, security). We may also send product mail. You can opt out of marketing. You cannot opt out of billing and security mail while the account is open.
The legal bases we rely on are: performance of the contract, our legitimate interests in running and protecting a hosting business, legal duty, and consent where a cookie or marketing law requires it.
4. Cookies, ads, chat, and analytics
The website uses cookies and similar tools. Some are needed for login and checkout. Others measure traffic or ads. We currently use, among others, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Meta (Facebook) Pixel, Microsoft Clarity, and Tawk.to chat. These companies may process data outside Nepal under their own policies.
You can block cookies in the browser. If you do, parts of the site and chat may not work. We may change vendors without amending this paragraph line by line; the type of tool will stay in this section.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only as needed:
- Processors: billing platform, payment gateways (including eSewa, Khalti, cards, and banks), email and DNS vendors, datacentres, DDoS and security vendors, and support tools.
- Product vendors: Google, Zoho, Adobe, Zoom, Nord, SSL issuers, and others when you buy their product through us.
- Domain industry: registrars, registries, and public or gated WHOIS where the TLD rules require it. Privacy add-ons hide what the registry allows us to hide. They do not hide data from the registry itself.
- Affiliates and resellers: limited order data so a commission can be tracked.
- Law and safety: courts, police, CERT, NTA, IRD, and other authorities when we are required or when we reasonably believe disclosure will reduce fraud, death, or serious network harm. We may disclose without telling you if the law forbids notice or if notice would defeat the purpose.
- A buyer: if we sell or merge the company, data moves with the business under this policy.
6. Data leaving Nepal
Hosting, mail, analytics, chat, and vendor products often run on servers outside Nepal. By using Foxnett you accept that personal data and content may be stored and accessed in those places. We do not promise a Nepal-only copy of your site unless a written order says so.
7. How long we keep it
Account and billing records are kept for as long as the account is open and then for the period Nepal tax and company law require (typically several years). Abuse and security logs may be kept as long as we have a legitimate interest in defending claims or the network. Content on a cancelled service may be deleted at once. Backups, if any, age out on our rotation. A deletion request does not override a legal hold, an unpaid invoice, or an abuse investigation.
8. Your choices
Subject to the Privacy Act, 2075 and our legal duties, you may ask to see, correct, or delete personal data we hold as controller, or to restrict marketing. Send a ticket or email contact@foxnett.com from the address on the account. We may need to verify you. We may refuse a request that is unfounded, excessive, would harm another person, or would stop us billing, securing the network, or meeting the IRD, NTA, or a court.
You may lodge a concern with the Government of Nepal authority that oversees privacy complaints. We ask that you contact us first so we can try to fix it.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures (TLS on the site, access control, firewalls). No host is perfectly secure. You are responsible for the strength of your passwords, two-factor, patches on your applications, and who you give panel access to. Foxnett is not liable for a breach that starts in your code, your device, or a vendor we do not control, except to the extent section 13 of the Terms of Service allows.
10. Children
Our services are not for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe we have, tell us and we will delete what the law allows us to delete.
11. Changes
We may update this policy by posting it here. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page is the effective date. Continued use after that date is acceptance.
